Ben and I did the Go Commando Adventure Race in Lake Elmo. It was a wet dirty race. We had hay bales, water pond, rope course, hurdles, mud(horse poop), muddy slides,fire and many more adventures to go through. A fun day, little chilly especially when you get hosed off by a fire hose.
Happy Birthday to Ben. We went to the Cupcake Place to get a Birthday Cupcake, yum! We also went out to lunch with the kids, had some cake with family. All and all a good day.
Our first trip to the cabin was a bit chilly but we made it work out. The dogs swam for hours upon hours, Tyler actually got in the water a few times(lips were blue when he was done) The boys build this tree house, which I guess is turning into a firehouse. And there may be a police station next to it! We played a lot of games, fished and spent time in town shopping. We can't wait to go back.

We decided to go fishing on the St. Croix River. We had a contest on who got the biggest fish in the boat and the ugly one. Ben got the award for that. Every time we got a fish it was a different kind, I guess that is why the river is so much fun you just never know what you are going to catch. The girls didn't do so good, boys got the most bites. Doesn't help though that there was only one girl in the boat that had a line in the water. Ms. Allison was listening to music and taking pictures the whole time. Good family time.

Our first Bon Fire of the season. We used my old college futon frame for wood (sorry mom). We made tons of s-mores, I think the fire got more then the kids ate. Ace was helping us get sticks for the fire he just wouldn't let us put them in the fire. And Mr. T had to put the fire out like the firefighters do!!
Well I did another Half. I got through it!! A little tough today, still recovering from last weeks half but I made it and only gained a little time. Now a little rest and ready for the adventure race in a few weeks.
