Having a silent moment in our sitting room I hear this sound that I only hear at the cabin. I looked up and saw these two bald eagles right outside my window. It is so rare to see two at the same time this time of year and down in the cities. What a beautiful site. Made my silent moment even better.
Ms. Allison got her Ipod touch today for her birthday.
Allison had such a busy birthday! Mom took her out of school and spent the day shopping (she likes to shop way more then mom) had a fun lunch(Allison vs Food, Food won but not by far) Went to the Fire Station where the guys sang Happy Birthday to her. She got to open her gifts and front of them and dad gave her a ballon and a rose. She felt so special. And her only thing she wanted for dinner was fried chicken and mash potatoes which she got. Mom is totally worn out and she is only 12. Happy Birthday Allison!

We finally got to celebrate Christmas with our cousin's! (also Birthday, and New Year's)
Ben and I decided to bring in the New Year with a run!!
This year the Polar Dash was a chilly one! 4 degrees and wind chill was -10 a little cold. Ben ran a 5k and I ran the 10k thinking I should turn at the 5k turn around so I could be warm and not have my snot freeze to my face but I made the whole thing. What a fun way to bring in the New Year!! Happy New Year to you all. Hope your 2011 brings you joy.
Mom is realizing her kids are beating her in bowling, maybe I need to use the bumper lane.
Every New Year's Eve we go bowling with the kids, this year we added skating time too. A day with plenty of activities that is for sure. Skating, bowling, and a major dance off with Just Dance with the Wii. and some good food in between. It was a good day and a fun way to end the year.
