Fourth xmas

Our fourth Christmas was at Grandma Katie's and Papa Rick's. Gus had to get in the picture too! We had fun playing with our cousins, eating great food, and getting some fun gifts.

All and all we had a great christmas with family. We hope next year to do the same. We told the kids today that we are going to adapt a family next year and donate gifts since we got so many this year. We will see how that pans out during the up coming year.

Third Xmas

Meeme and Papa's Christmas is always fun. Santa leaves a bag out front every year with fun toys in it. They got plenty of toys, activities, and cloths. Thanks Meeme and Papa for a fun evening! :)

Second Xmas

I think Santa was very good to the kids this year! Kids had a blast opening every thing. The clean up is always fun after Christmas!

First Xmas

We celebrated our first Christmas of the year at Papa Joe's. We have started the season off with two kids sick. Hoping it will get better before Santa arrives. With not feeling well we still had a good time playing games, getting new gifts, and enjoying time together.

Tyler's dream

Well Tyler got to be a "firefighters helper" for a little bit. Ben had to clean out some fire hydrants after our snow storm. We happen to have one by the house and Tyler got to help them out!!

Tis the Season

It is that time of year! The kids got to see Santa up close and personal with his reindeer. Here is a picture of them in the slay. Merry Christmas!!

Dinner time

I had Thanksgiving dinner for the first time at our house. Mom still did a lot of the work. (thanks mom) Ben carved his first turkey. Wonderful dinner!

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving morning!! The family and I did a fun run! Don't they look really happy to be there?! It was 7 degrees out with a wind chill. The kids and Ben did a 2k, Justin ran the whole thing, Tyler and dad had their own little workout. Dad mostly carrying Tyler until he saw the finish line. Allison took her time walking and enjoying the nice weather. Chuck, Kara, and I ran the 8k around Hastings. It was a pretty cold run but had a fun time.

Halloween Fun

Ben and I had a fun run! He was Joe dirt and I was a baseball bat girl ( I had to cover up, I was so cold)

Getting dressed up

Ben and I are doing a Monster Dash for Halloween. I am running 10 miles and he is doing his first 5k, costume optional. Couldn't pass up dressing up!!!

Apple Orchard

We went to the Apple Orchard. Great fall weather. We had some melt downs but with some yummy food we made it through. Now with all the apples I need to start making apple pie and apple crisp.

Ben's work

This is what happens when Ben has some time on his hands. Just makes furniture out of the blue. He does great work and the kids just love them!

Happy Halloween

Justin's first meet

Justin had his first swim meet. It brought back some fun memories, he is swimming for the swim team that I swam for. He had a blast and is learning so much.

Tyler 6 years old

We have another hunter in the family! Papa and dad better get ready!

Tyler had his little party today with his cousins and family around him. He had so much fun. His theme was Toy Story but I think it should of been something with hunting. Bow and arrow and guns were the theme this year (oh great!)

My little boy is growing up so fast. Happy Birthday Tyler.

Go Commando Race

Ben's first race- the Go Commando adventure race. Where we got very dirty, muddy, and wet! Ran over hay bales, over logs, jumped hurdles, through tires, up hard terrain, down hard terrain, down a water muddy slide, through burning logs, and finally through a swamp. What FUN!

Back to School

Way to start the new school year with two missing teeth. They came out earlier then expected thanks to a door knob :(
Tyler seeing his new classroom for kindergarten. He is so excited and his teacher happens to be a classmate of mine from high school.
Our first day of school picture. They were so excited, they had a great day! I did too, I even took a hour an a half nap when they got home.

Duathlon

I did my first Duathlon which is a 5k run, 18 mile bike, 5k run. I have to say it was one of the hardest races I have done yet.

State Fair

Our trip to the State Fair this year!! We had our favorite foods, saw some babies being born, log rollers, and so much more! Great weather too! I just don't think we will go back until another 3 years or longer.

Dogs

After a long day of swimming all they did was sleep. But as soon as they woke up they were ready to hit the water again.

Our dogs LOVE to fish! The youngest actually dives head first to get a fish! They swam more then the kids did I think.
